Role Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Manager to join our dynamic product team. You will play a pivotal role in translating customer needs into actionable product requirements and driving the successful delivery of our solutions.
Specifically, this role is focussed on providing our customers with the right reports (data insights) across our product range and managing our annual benchmarking survey.
As a Product Manager you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially engineering, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Data Insights Vision & Strategy: Create and execute a cohesive vision and plan for data insights and reporting across all products.
- Drive Data Insights Strategy: Lead the execution of the data insights strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Manage Annual Benchmarking Project: Oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of the annual benchmarking project.
- Coordinate Reporting Efforts: Align and prioritise reporting initiatives across the suite of products, ensuring consistency and strategic focus.
- Enhance Self-Serve Reporting Capabilities: Evolve and improve self-serve reporting tools, using Excel.
- Understand Customer Data Insights Needs: Conduct research and gather feedback to deeply understand customer needs and preferences regarding data insights.
- Extend Benchmarking Vision and Strategy: Expand the scope and impact of benchmarking initiatives to provide greater value to customers.
- Integrate Financial Reporting into IMP Brand: Develop and implement strategies to incorporate financial reporting into the IMP brand.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure product alignment with business goals.
Skills, experience and attributes:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in BI tools Power BI
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with education sector (specifically MATs) trends and best practices in BI and reporting.
