Role Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our dynamic product team. You will play a pivotal role in translating customer needs into actionable product requirements and driving the successful delivery of our solutions. As a Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially development, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet our customers' needs. You will also be responsible for managing a team of testers.
Key responsibilities:
1 Requirement Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements.
- Define clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Communicate effectively with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.
2 Product Development
- Work closely with development teams to drive the delivery of product features and enhancements.
- Assist in managing the work plan for the development team and ensuring that processes are being followed.
3 Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with software testers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
- Provide feedback and support to testers to improve testing processes and outcomes.
4 Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Ensure that product initiatives and backlog align with the overall product strategy and company objectives.
- Collaborate with the rest of the product team to develop and maintain a product roadmap.
5 Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, implementation, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the product team and across the organisation.
Skills, experience, and attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with finance software especially with bank reconciliation/open banking, period end, VAT and balance sheet.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desirable additional requirements
- Some experience in a product management or product owner role.
- Experience in B2B SaaS settings preferred.
- Experience within Edtech.
- Accounting qualification.
